A design of mine created in Google sketchup. About 5 hours of work. It could use a lot more but I dont want to spend any more time on it. I have a bigger project Im working on and I like the way it ended up anyway.
The first model Ive created of an original design and I think its pretty good. The inspiration was the CF9 fighters of the legacy comics, the things are so bulky and clunky and slow looking. So I thought well why arent they more slim and sleek like the old x wings. And wha la this is what I came up with.
A T-97 X-wing Series Starfigher produced by the Incom Corporation in 140 ABY.
16.5 meters long
Armed with 8 laser cannons, 2 concussion missile launchers
The three box looking things in front of the ship are very powerful sensor jammers designed to make it a very very difficult ship to detect and track, or lock onto with targeting computers.
If anyone is wondering were the astromech droid is, well it doesnt have one. It never made much sense to me why have a droid that you have to take in and out as a navigation device, so the protrusion(if you can see it) from behind the cockpit is a long range sensor and navigation device.
Comments are welcomed and appreciated, if you like it please fav or give me a watch, ill have lots more star wars models coming Im working on a very very very large super star destroyer type thing now. Its still a long way from done but its coming along nicely.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
